
Hi All, I have just received my incredibly cheap HW0043 Wanscam IP camera and have got it half working however if there is anyone that can help me get it fully working I would be even more happy. on a Mac, Linux machine, or in iOS or Android) or without using Wanscam software you might have some problems. I scanned the QR code and put in my network password and there it was, up and running and without doing any more i can simply plug the power in with no ethernet and view the camera on my android phone and also on my iPad. which is going to be its main use as I work from a home office in the garden and i can see who is at the front door. The issue is I cannot get access to the camera from any web browser on my Mac laptop or desktop. When i use terminal to see all connected devises on my network i get one set of ip addresses (192.168.0.1 etc) but nothing showing the camera. when i ping the "ipcamera" name i get a different ip address (81.200.64.50) but when i try that ip address from a browser i cant see it, I have tried hitting various ports such as 80, 99 and 100 but nothing as yet. I will see if that works.Im not a network / ip expert so if anyone can guide me on how i can get into the camera from a browser it would be very much appreciated. Or I could just manually flash the mtd1-4 partitions. Just delete the mtd5-line from the script? So I begin to doubt if your debug_cmd.sh is correct? When I binwalk the firmware, I see the familiar addresses show up: 0x50000, 0x1f0000, 0x3c0000, 0x3c0000 and 0x410000, just as in your log file. Creating 5 MTD partitions on "gk_flash": 5 cmdlinepart partitions found on MTD device gk_flash Strangely, when I look in your 20191130_mod.log, I also see only 5 mtd-partitions: Are you sure that it needs 6 mtd-partitions? In that case I would like to see what is in the mtdparts-command line in the u-boot environment. I cannot install the HIP291G_Mod_ENG_04102019-firmware because it cannot find the /dev/mtd5.


When I look at the debug_cmd.sh file that you provided, this firmware needs 6 mtd-partitions: I would like to put this firmware on my camera. description of the installation to read on 4pda I have attached the firmware mod file here.
